Community Life
Belonging to a group, gives students a "Collective identity”, so much so that the person belonging to the
group identifies himself with the group. This creates bonding, respect for peers and a sense of belonging.
Engaging in community life reinstates the bonds between the students, teachers, and the clergy and is
fundamental to the community of the school and the outside community. Students are given the
opportunity to interact in events such as Children's Day, School trips and volunteering in the community
on Shramadana Days. Events like Teachers’ Day and Rector’s Day invigorates self-esteem in the teachers
and affirm respect and appreciation of the valuable service rendered by teachers and the Rector. The
services of minor staff, security, the gardeners, and other workers are valued and affirmed as important
for the functioning of the school.
